Who We Are
Zërolab is an Irish design and technology start-up pioneering sustainable advanced manufacturing through Large Format Robotic 3D Printing, a capability being introduced to Ireland for the first time in support of a more sustainable manufacturing future.
Our Story
Zerolab started with one uncomfortable question: where does our recycled plastic actually go? In 2025, Kildare County Council invited Vision Creative Studios to explore climate-positive infrastructure for local communities — and that question became impossible to ignore.
Around the same time, Eoin was deep in research on large-format robotic 3D printing, a technology capable of taking shredded recycled polymer and turning it into large-scale, useful objects with almost zero waste. The two paths collided. What began as parallel curiosity quickly became a shared mission: build Ireland's first LFAM hub, design out waste from the start, and prove that circular production can also be commercially viable.
Today, Zerolab sits at the intersection of design, material research and advanced manufacturing — transforming waste polymers into durable products and demonstrating that the future of Irish manufacturing can be regenerative, not extractive.

To redefine sustainable manufacturing in Ireland through zero-waste and circular technology.
Today in Ireland, construction and manufacturing are the largest contributors to the total waste produced in Ireland accounting for over 54% in collectively.
- 32.6%
- Construction and Demolition
- 22.4%
- Manufacturing
Manufacturing in Ireland often relies on cutting away material to shape products, which leads to significant waste. A basic office desk begins with large sheets that are trimmed down, and the offcuts usually end up discarded. This is known as Subtractive Manufacturing.

“Using Large Format Additive Manufacturing, we have learnt how to create using waste, whilst simultaneously producing zero.”
Large format robotic arm additive manufacturing is an advanced form of 3D printing that uses industrial robotic arms to fabricate large, highly complex structures, depositing material layer by layer with exceptional precision, efficiency, and design freedom.
By eliminating offcuts and scrap, Large Format Additive Manufacturing enables truly zero-waste fabrication while working with recycled, recyclable, or bio-based materials.
Produced locally and digitally, it reduces transport emissions and unlocks new design possibilities that are impossible with conventional manufacturing, delivering a cleaner and more sustainable approach to large-scale design, architecture, and engineering.
